The full renovation of the existing Sunset Island house incorporates a final addition that reconciles multiple interventions along previous decades.

The proposed roof of the second level addition over the garage aims to resolve the existing inconsistency of roof shapes from previous multiple additions into a duality of two wings: the left wing is the original house; the right wing represents “the contemporary annex”, depicted with abundant glazing and a sequence of concave and convex curvilinear roofs that integrate the front façade proposed addition to the existing waterfront addition beyond.
